So Tuesday isn’t historically full of stuff I have to watch. I’ve sort of planned to watch tonight’s Daily Show and Colbert Report in the morning. Tonight, I only watched a single episode from season one of Dollhouse. I’ve been told buy a lot of people that it gets better as it goes on, so I’m riding it out for a while. Right now, I could take it or leave it.

Watching older series on DVD, on the other hand, is something I can see myself doing a lot more of. The lack of commercials is great (although the cliffhanger-every-ten-minutes pacing that is forced on TV series is far more glaring this way) and there’s something great about watching the next episode before you’ve entirely forgotten the last one.

I’ve also paid back 17 bucks in library fines, with the result that I’m suddenly like six books behind in my reading. That should take some of the sting out of my shrinking TV options.
